From the time my daughter was born, I didn't feel like she liked me very much. Even though I tried hard, I felt like she wasn't really connecting with me or my sense of humor, so I kind of stepped back a little bit and let her dad help out more. Unfortunately, that rift continued to widen, and before I knew it, we were barely talking. Fortunately, a friend of mine recommended a relationship counselor that she said could help, and I was impressed to see how much of a difference it made.
